Impeccable service, beautiful ambiance! I had the house Prosecco. Light, crisp and refreshing. I had the Messalina: enjoy the richness of the anchovies in this Caesar Salad. This was half the Penne al' Arriabata. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The sauce was savory, divine roasted garlic and a bit of heat. I was so satisfied with no room for dessert. The service is attentive and helpful. I heard that the opera singer does not perform anymore and I am sorry to hear that. *note Valet Parking is $15

Beautiful restaurant in Long Beach! You can park at nearby lot or valet, they seem to be roughly the same price. The pastas and raviolis were all fresh. I recommend sharing amongst the table, because the food is rich. I ordered the Lombardi, in picture. Tiramisu was the best I have ever had! We brought our own wines and they charge $25 corkage fee. They do offer full bar service and wines but we chose to bring our own. Service was great (Alfredo), as well. Highly recommend for a special occasion!

It is my second time at L'Opera, but first time having dinner here. We made reservations and were able to score a table near the window, so it felt kind of intimate. To start we had a Cesar and their house salads, they were good, but honestly not worth the $18 price tag. Next time we will stick to an appetizer. For dinner we had the rib eye and lasagna, both were great! For dessert we had the Panna cotta, it was light and delicious. Staff were great.

Came on a Tuesday at 7:45pm and it was pretty dead which I always love. I wish I remembered our waiters name, but he was fantastic! He was so funny and helpful. All throughout the night he was always there to help! Even the hosts were really kind. The place itself is very upscale and nice. Nice and quiet. There was a really weird smell that lingered for a bit, but not bothersome. The menu is pretty expensive. My husband and I spilt the chicken parm. Our waiter brought it out and we thought he misheard us and brought us each a plate, but no he confirmed he split the plate. It was such a big portion being split. My husband and I were so full and it was delicious. If I were to recommend one appetizer it would be the calamari. So flavorful! Overall, such a great experience.

This fantastic restaurant has been around 30+ years and still delivers a great meal and drink. Popped in for Happy Hour (M-F 4:00-5:30) and has a couple of dirty martinis and calamari (the best around).

I came here once for a birthday dinner and I loved this place! The food was amazing! I had really good wine to pair with my food! And the service was also outstanding! This place is perfect for a cute date night or celebratory outing. And also a great spot for a cute picture too!

We were in Long Beach for a convention and came here with a group of 8 friends. It was 5pm on a Sunday evening so the restaurant was pretty empty. The restaurant has an older feel with sand colored columns and decor. I asked the hostess what was the most famous Italian cocktail because I was craving it but had forgotten the name. The hostess said she had "no idea". I mean, this is an Italian restaurant, I thought for sure she would know it's a "Negroni". We were seated promptly and the service was excellent. The restaurant provides a generous and delicious bread basket. We ordered the crispy calamari, broccolini, burrata for appetizers and Caesar salads. They were all very good. Then for dinner some had pasta, chicken parmigiana, lasagna, seafood pasta, veal. I had the veal piccata but was not impressed. It was a little thick for a piccata. For dessert we had the pana cota and again, I have had better. It's very difficult to find a parking but fortunately there is valet parking right in front and only costs $10 if you eat at the restaurant. Overall, we had a great night and that's what matters.
